I’m Gay. Deal with it. As a Platinum Blond Punk Rawk Street Renegade, I find myself dodging judgmental dagger eyes left and write.

It’s cool though, Man. My inner Julian Casablancas says “Kiss My Chucks, Haters.”

As an openly Gay Dude since 16, I have found myself conforming to societal standards of masculinity to mask my homosexuality but why? With Bromances and Bicurious Tendencies becoming ‘en vogue,’ perhaps I should embrace my inner identity. I’ve honestly always found myself a ‘Soul Sista’ trapped in a White Boy’s Body. Call me a ‘Faux Eminem.’ I can deal.

I believe in God and fundamentally I identify with the plights of my Afro-Centric Sistas and Brothas. When Slavery was socially acceptable, Slaves turned to Music to get them through their struggles. When I write Music, I am documenting my own struggles in a similar vein.

We are all survivors in one way or another. Let’s wear our battle scars with Pride. Like MJB sang, “Deep inside I wish that you could see, I’m just plain old Mary.” Preach on and Amen, Girl.
